Darkness crept over the frozen horizion, tinting the snowy arboral terraces in azure hues. The arget cresent of the luminous moon had long ago ceased to be viewed, obscured by the bleakness of the gray heavens. Long shadows appeared, caused by the ivory drifts abounding in the wintry world. An eerie silence seemed to be cast upon the tween time, the birds continuing to doze in their nests. Soon, the forest would be alive with the chorus, but for now, night's sable cloak contiuned to reign unchallenged.Padding among the gloom, the charcoal figure of a feline could be glimpsed. The cat waited, brazen jet pelt gleaming with an etheral sparkle among the ghostly white forest. Displaying a shocking amount of nocalance, the stranger, flopped gracelessly into the snow, stretching paws skyward in an act of offhand aloofness.
Unseen by the hapless intruder, twin watchers warily examined the newcomer with unattatched interest. Their pelts of icy ivory, a nusiance in the Green-leaf moons, were finally an asset now that leaf-bare's chilling grasp had struck the land. For a few blessed moons the siblings were invaluble to the clan. Eyes of cerelean and frost, their hackles rose upon the slightest movement from the invader. So far the black feline had'nt shown any signs of agression, yet it always paid to be on guard in the woods. Who knows when a rival hunter will show up? Of course, cats were the least of the worries. Foxes, badgers and hawks, the forest abounded with all. From the glossy sheen of ebony fur coupled with half-healed scars it was easy to tell this was no pampered kittypet. Cautionsly, the duo tasted the air, catching the fragrent aroma of pines wafting in the breeze. ShadeClan. Fear ruffled the pelts of the ivory felines. The sight of a clan member was alarming enough, a ShadeClan feline, even worse.
