How to Play A Warrior Cat RPG
First you decide what you want your cat to be, a Loner, Rogue, Kittypet or Clan Cat. Loners are cats who are not in a Clan, but are not owned by Two-legs{humans} either. Kittypets are owned by Two-legs. The Clan Cats are cats who live in the forest. There are seven Clans, SnakeClan,SunClan,TigerClan,LightClan, ShadeClan, StreamClan, and BloodClan. When making a character, keep in mind that each Clan is different, not only in name, but in what they hunt and act like as well.
There is one other Clan, StarClan, the mystical home of their ancestors. Every Clan Cat joins StarClan in the end. StarClan sends prophecies and omens to the living cats. It is StarClans job to eternally watch over the living cats below. Clan Cats can see StarClan in the night sky. Silverpelt, is the name of their home in the stars.
Names are an important part. Loners, Rogues, and Kittypets almost all have one word names like, Spot, Sage, Barley, and Princess. Clan Cats, always have two part names. The first part never changes. The second part of the name symbolizes the rank of the cat. Some clan names are: Firepaw, Rapidclaw, Forestkit, and Northstar.
At the bottom of Clan hierarchy are the kits. Kits, or kittens, are younger then six moons{months} old. The Kits are taken care of by the warriors and Queens. No cat can ever harm a Kit. All Kits have names like, Applekit, Nightkit, Stripekit, and Dreamkit.
Apprentices are cats just out of kit-hood. They are still not warriors but they are not Kits either. Each apprentice is given a mentor to teach them how to hunt, fight, and the Warrior Code. Most apprentices have to feed the Elders and patrol the Clan boundaries. When an apprentice is eight moons old, the cat receives their warrior name. There is a special ceremony and the apprentice has a vigil outside the camp. During the vigil, the cat cannot speak or sleep until sunrise. Usually there is a big feast and celebration.
Warriors are the lifeblood of the Clan. They hunt, fight, train, patrol and defend the Clan. All young cats hope to be Warriors someday. All Warriors are respected and admired in the Clan. When a Warrior becomes too old, the cat is considered an Elder. Elders are wise {sometimes cranky!} cats who have become wizened with age. The Clan Leader consults the Elders when she or he needs advice.
The Deputy is second-in-command. In order to be a Deputy, the cat must be a Warrior and have trained at least one apprentice. After the death or retirement of a Deputy, a new one must be chosen by the Clan Leader by moonhigh. There is one deputy per Clan. When the Leader dies, the Deputy chooses a new Deputy and becomes the Leader.
Leaders are strong cats who know how to command a Clan and defend their territories. They are the cats who make the decisions and picks names for the Warriors. With the help of StarClan, leaders are given nine lives, bestowed upon them by StarClan. The Leaders must travel to the Moonstone or Moonpool to speak to StarClan. There is a secret ceremony that the leader must never speak about. The ceremony is painful and emotional, but the rewards are great. The Leader is given the name "star" and nine lives.
Medicine Cats are cat who heal the sick and wounded. They are connected to StarClan and are outside of Clan rivalries. A Medicine Cat collects herbs and store them in crevices and caves. Medicine Cats are not allowed to have Kits. They are given guidance by Starclan, and visit the Moonstone or Moonpool every half-moon. All the Clans meet at Fourtrees under the full moon in peace. Fighting is not allowed at Gatherings.
After choosing rank and a name, decide if you want your cat to be a She-cat{girl} or Tom{boy} Then comes the hard part, picking a description and personality. To make a worthwhile description and history, 5 sentences minimum is recommended. The description describes what your cat looks like, fur, eyes, size ect… For personality, you decide how your cat acts, good, bad, crazy, kinda bad ect… When completed with this segment, design a history. Your history must be five sentences long at least. Be creative when filling out the form. Most admins make you use a secret word at the bottom of the page. This word is usually hidden in the rules. It is a good way to see who has read the rules. Here is one of my characters: {Don't worry, I shortened it.}
Name-Polarkit
Pelt-Cream
Eyes-Dove Gray
Gender-Tom
Clan-RockClan former LightClan
Rank-Kit
Description-Polarkit is ostentatiously pale, his coat a beacon in the blazing sunlight. Used to being teased about his "handicap" fur, he himself makes jokes at his own expense. With lanky paws and a whippy tail, he should be gangly and awkward; big mistake, this cat is far too agile and quick to be uncomfortable in his body. He may tauntingly dare you to outrun him if you annoy him. A hair smaller than the other kits in RockClan, he has simply found a way to never be ignored; be different. Pointed erect ears enhance his kittish figure. Eyes of serene gray, like the wings of a dove, glow in the early light.
Personality-Polarkit is shockingly outspoken. Laid-back without the slightest care in the world, he may seem carefree and lazy to the eyes of many. Lying on the warm stones of his territory, he appears like a white blob. Watch closely enough, and you might see the glint of gray where his eyes are carefully noting the presences of those around him. He is talented when it comes to the art of ticking off the elders and the art of creating plausible excuses. Where there's a will there's a way, and if Polarkit is ever caught speechless, the world will end. He always has an opinion on a topic and will express his views loud and clear. At times, Polarkit's mouth runs away with him, causing others to wince at his harsh yet truthful observations. Most "kits-aka parents" are horrified by his heathen ways, never daring to question authority or the clan laws. Being a former LightClan feline, he is upheld as the prime example of what a kit shouldn't do. Truthfully, Polarkit relishes his role as the "horrible nuisance" of his clan. He pities the young ones, unable to utter a word not approved by their parents. There were some excellent benefits to being an orphan.
Polarkit's main goal in life is to lighten up situations. Polarkit loathes missing a chance to tussle with the other kits, enjoying the invigorating challenges of cat against cat. At times he may be a little rough, unknowing of his own strength. Impishness aside, he is an all-around friendly kit to hang out with. He cracks jokes, even when no one is amused. If able to, he wants a chance to become the diplomat of RockClan.
History-Greenleaf sunlight flooded the RockClan clearing. The robin-egg's blue sky above heralded another brilliant day of prosperity. Gazing up at the heavens with careless abandon, the ivory kitten purred with contentment. He had been pestering the elders for many hours until his matriarch foster mother shooed him away. Gray orbs glowing with unconstrained happiness, he pranced delightedly, causing dust clouds to form about him.
